6 AM vs 9 PM briefing — different jobs

I tried running one briefing at midday. It was useless. Half forward-looking, half backward-looking, useful for neither.

Now I run two:

• 6 AM — forward. What needs doing today. What's on fire. Pipeline state. One number that flags whether yesterday went well.
• 9 PM — backward. What landed. What broke. What's in the inbox. What's open for tomorrow.

Different agents. Different prompts. Different output formats. Forward digest is a list. Backward digest is a narrative.

The mistake I made was treating "briefing" as one job. It's two jobs that happen to use similar inputs. Splitting them is a 5-minute config change. Should have done it in week 1.
